The Longest In Between I Could
Booyea,
Sunday as usual but with a little twist to it,dressed up and went walking to I don’t know where..
YES, I walked out my home today @ 4.00pm realizing I don’t now where should I head too for lunch/dinner, and when all else fail - I stumble across a semi- french restaurant called
Laurent @ Portsdown | French Restaurant & Choclate Bar. by Chocolatier Laurent Bernard.
for Lunch, Tea & Dinner. Let’s skip the talking and head over to the menu I had..
Appetizer - 4.24pm
Salade Nicoise,
—> Fresh Greens, Tuna, Kalamata Olives, White Anchovies, Eggs & Potatoes.
Comments : Would say another Anchovies would be nice and FRESH siered Tuna please.
Rating - **** ($18.00)
Soup - 5.29pm
French Onion Soup,
with Gruyere Toast.
Comment : Maybe a just a pinch or two less saltier would be perfect. Oh and the burn scrap form the beef stock, its really pungent. Nevertheless *thumbsup* for the flavorful soup.
Rating - **** ($7.80)
Main Course - 7.07pm
Grilled Rib Eye Steak w/ Guanaja- Orange Sauce, (optional)
—> Rib Eye Steak, Sugar Snap Pea, Roasted Tomato & Potato Gratin.
Comment : No comment on this, it was really good. Rib Eye was well to done-ness, thou the Guanaja Chocolate- Orange Sauce wasn’t my palate.
Rating - ***** ($24.00)
Dessert - 7.56pm
Valrhona Warm Chocolate Lava Cake,
—> Chocolate Lava Cake, Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream, Caramel & Whipped Cream.
Comment : Co- Owner recommendation. Nothing much special or fancy, should have go with the Souffles, maybe next time.
Rating - *** ($12.00)
So that’s bout it, in total I spent about average an hour in between courses. New record to the chart. And the place was good too, surprisingly the weather wasn’t that killing. Also, I had a small chat with the co- owner Stephane (french), interesting conversation.
Oh here the website, www.nibschocolate.net
I said a good few hours and dollar spent today.
ahKEiNN.
